Stacking and folding based modular system

System
STACLAP is a simple system, which uses panel elements to form modular units by stacking and folding.
The system visualises the concept of network and intersection, which is the base of the global working logistic company DHL.
STACLAP gets its characteristic appearance by its construction.

Elements
The STACLAP-elements consist of a panel being 70cm high, 200cm long and 6cm thick.
The panel carries 4 slits, two on each long side situated on the fourth part of the length. Their depth is 14cm and a fifth of their height.
The slits are used to staple the panels vertically. The unused slits are filled with a cover. The slits are cut into the panel under an angle of 140°. To extend horizontally the elements can be connected sidewise in 180° and 140° angle. In case of 140° angle a wedge is inserted between the panels.

Application
The modular system has the possibility to be used as a piece of furniture for the customer service-zone, as well as wall system and a super-sign, because of its variable connections.
Five variations has been designed of the standard STACLAP-element to create a modularsystem for every application.
The five variations are called: Horizontal STACLAP, Vertical STACLAP, Doublesize STACLAP, Stacked wall and Folded wall.

Colour
The corporate colours are used as the basic colours of STACLAP.
Yellow serves as the main colour. The slit positions are highlighted by red. Dark grey is used to set contrast e.g. for counters and supersign.

Transport
The simple plain shape of the elements enables to reduce the volume for transport to a tenth of the build up booth.
